what does "challenging behaviour" mean?

now it makes sense...
Behaviour that goes against society's accepted norms.
EG self harming, inappropriate behaviour towards self or others, inappropriate language, feces smearing; people with challenging behaviour often require robust services IE if living in the community a highly active person centred care plan designed to minimise occurrences of challenging behaviour.
Some children and adults with severe learning disabilities typically display behaviour which may put themselves or others at risk, or which may prevent the use of ordinary community facilities or a normal home life.

This behaviour may be in the form of aggression, self injury, stereotyped behaviour or disruptive and destructive behaviours.
