Can sociopaths's be cured.?

Is there any type of therapy/drug that can help or is it a constant mental state that will never be normalised.
Answer:
if an abnormality of their brain means they have permanant damage to an area of the brain, no there is no cure.
some malfunctions can be controlled with drugs but not all.
I don't believe it can be cured. Sociopaths have no empathy or feelings for others. Simply put, they don't care who they hurt.
a psychopath needs a lot of care in hospital and the outcome is not predictable
There is no cure for this. It is, as you say, a constant mental state. Many sociopaths can function successfully within society and are never even diagnosed as they learn to imitate the norms of behaviour. However, a small minority display violent behaviour as a result of their total lack of empathy and feeling.
No, is the short answer.
They have to want to change. Then they have to take steps and make an honest effort to change. There are no cures for mental illnesses. The ability to make a difference in ones own life does remain, however. It would take a lot of soul searching and looking at their life, the effects they have had on themselves and others, for them to change. However, I believe anything is possible. Maybe rare, but possible.
It can not be cured because it is a disorder of the personality itself. They will continue to cause drama, play the victim and point their finger at you. The best advise would be to avoid them if possible.
