Can somebody give advice? I feel like life is pointless,?

I have felt like this for a long time, I rarely leave my home, I get very nervouse in social situations, I have problems at work and with friends because of my fears and being depressed. I start many things but never finish any of them. I have seen a doctor, they prescribe drugs and it dosent go away. I feel no one really cares what happens so why should I

Hi. You seem to be very stuck right now. Stuck at home and with depression and social problems. And above this the doctors are not helping either.

You mention that you feel that no-one really cares. It is true that most doctors see so many people that you may be just one of the many patients.

It seems to me that you should tell your doctor this at your next appointment. Tell him or her that the medication is not working and that your problems remain as they always have been. If the doctor you mention is not a psychiatrist I would suggest finding one.

The truth is that there are a lot of things you can do to help yourself with anxiety and depression. Medication is not the only thing. You may want to make the choice to help yourself- and maybe find a psychologist to give you support. Only you can help yourself.

regular exercise
breathing exercises
desensitization
cognitive behavioral therapy
assertiveness
self esteem
activity

Bring the reigns of your therapy in your own hands- and look for a pscyhologist/psychiatrist to help you in this process.

Go to libraries and learn about therapies for depression and anxiety.

This is a problem that requires more than just a pill. You should continue to seek help, from another doctor if necessary. You are reaching out in one way, so that's good, but you need to talk it out with someone. Crisis lines are made for that and they are free and anonymous. At the very least, write in a journal until you find the right solution. You are not alone! It just feels that way sometimes. Many people's lives are affected by your being here on the planet, whether you can see it behind your cloud or not...good luck, don't quit fighting!
u should try 2 find a group that will help u get thru this!
try something that u enjoy! or c if there is a group that helps people who are depressed! this should boost your social skills and it wil also help you to look forward to something (if you enjoy it)! Also, it will help you leave your home!
If meds are not helping you please seek professional counseling and stop beating yourself up because no one has it all together, absolutely no one. It sounds like you are your own worst critic so stop it right now. Look at what you do right instead of your imperfections and learn to appreciate yourself just as you are. Take one day at a time and try to improve upon one area at a time without being too harsh with yourself. Can you be as kind to yourself as you are to others? If not, try it! I believe a good therapist can prove a worthwhile deal and I expect to hear from you soon with a very positive and happy solution to this situation. Go ahead and do the best you can to make your life a peaceful, joyful and loving one from this day forward. Are your fears from depression or are your fears causing your depression? Depression is mainly caused by certain events in someone's life or for no reason at all. If drugs are not working, I would try eating healthy and exercise. You would be amazed how much better you would feel. Also, take up a hobby or keep yourself busy this will help keep yourself from noticing the depression.

The only purpose for life is to procreate. That鈥檚 It. When you die, everything that you have accomplished means jack. So yes, life is kinda pointless. So just live your life and have fun.
